DAREDEVIL was created by Stan Lee and Bill Everett, and first appeared in DAREDEVIL #1 (1964). The son of boxer 'Battlin' Jack' Murdock, Matt Murdock grew up in the relative poverty of Hell's Kitchen with much reverence for his father, who constantly pressed him to study instead of playing with his friends. In turn, they taunted him with the facetious nickname DAREDEVIL since he always went back to studying and secretly training in his father's gym instead of doing things with them.

Matt was blinded by toxic chemicals, but learned to hone his physical skills and other senses to the point where he was a fearsome force for good in his neighborhood of Hell's Kitchen, even after opening a law firm there.

Here in issue #11, in a continuation of the story in #10 (also in our store!) that introduced the four Ani-Men under the control of The ORGANIZER, you get "A Time To Unmask!" wherein the Ani-Men (Frog-Man, Bird-Man, Cat-Man and Gorilla-Man!) continue their crime wave but are stopped by DAREDEVIL who realizes they had been out to sabotage the election campaign of his friend Foggy Nelson. With the battle won, DAREDEVIL decides to leave the law firm and travel, in order to clear his head!

Pencilled by Bob Powell and wonderfully inked by Wally Wood - his last work on this title!

This is a pretty well-preserved copy of DAREDEVIL #11 with a strong binding and minimal toning of its 56-year old pages! The front cover has a bent corner, a faint partial date stamp near the binding, a bit of handwriting on the title page, and a small marking on the letters page. It still has good eye-appeal and good color and that leads us to grading this a 5.5 FN-. The Overstreet Guide feels $27.50 is appropriate -- we feel $23 plus our L•O•W shipping is even MORE appropriate!
