Here's a lovely copy of COO COO COMICS #48 containing a rare full-length funny animal story by none other than a young Frank Frazetta . . . and an additional two text page illustrations by him as well!

This hugely popular Funny Animals comic of the Golden Age delivered 52 pages of anthropomorphic fun to post-WWII era kids! Supermouse, by Jack Bradbury, leads off this issue (as he had since issue #1) with a 10-page story, and is followed by 7 more wacky anthropomorphic adventures, and 3 illustrated text pages. Among the other animal actors here are Dodger deSquoil (by Frazetta), Y.Z Fox, Colonel Punchy Penguin, Douglas and Duncan, and Fearless Farmsworth! All drawn by moonlighting animators from the Disney and Warner Bros. studios, like Bradbury, Ed Dunn, Bob Wickersham and Ray Patin!

This copy is in amazing shape for being 72 years old! - tight binding, gloss on the covers, no foxing, and no ragged edges! There is a small semi-circular tear at the top of the back cover preventing this from grading even higher.

Because of the Frazetta artwork, Overstreet says $86 . . . but we are Funny Animal lovers and we say $35!!
