They turn CAROL into STAR SAPPHIRE and test her by having her defeat GREEN LANTERN!

In the second story in this issue, Gardner Fox delivers "Earth's First Green Lantern!", in which HAL JORDAN explains to his confidant and co-worker 'PIEFACE' why ABIN SUR - HAL's predecessor - came to Earth in a spaceship when all GREEN LANTERNS can travel thru space unaided - a question that had been raised by readers in several GL letter columns!

This is a pretty good-looking 61-year old Silver Age GREEN LANTERN -- no creases, tears, pieces missing, or abnormal toning. It does have tape on the spine, a couple of minuscule nicks on page edges, and dirt smudges on the back cover.
