It's hard to imagine the degree of excitement that kids during the World War II era would experience as the publication date for the quarterly WORLD'S FINEST COMICS arrived! It was hugely popular, owing largely to the variety of superheroes included, the double number of pages for only 5¢ more, and the appearance of Superman and Batman together in the same comic book!

Here is an especially nice copy of WORLD'S FINEST COMICS #3 from the Fall of 1941 - a little something to take their minds off of trudging back to school in September! A look at the contents page shows a roster that includes SUPERMAN in "The Case of the Death Express!" by Siegel and Schuster, BATMAN and ROBIN in "The Riddle of the Human Scarecrow!" by Bill Finger and Bob Kane, and the very first SANDMAN story, "Crime Visits the Opera!"

As the cover shows, you also get ZATARA the MASTER MAGICIAN, THE CRIMSON AVENGER, JOHNNY THUNDER . . . plus, YOUNG DOC DAVIS, RED WHITE & BLUE, DRAFTY, THE KING, and LANDO, MAN OF MAGIC!!!

This is a lovely and clean copy of WORLD'S FINEST COMICS #10! The spine is unbroken, strong and square, all 96 pages are supple and there is remarkably only mild toning for a comic that is 80 years old, and the colors are bright. No pieces missing or ragged edges - but there are a few tiny dings on the front cover.
