We're willing to wager that WARP is the only non-Classics Illustrated adaptation of a Broadway play! The play did not succeed.The play was the work of a bunch of apparent dorks who wrote a stage epic that mocked and parodied Superheroes. The problem was obvious: the regular working stiff gave up Superheroes when he was 12 (replacing them with girls) or was female (who cleverly used superhero/comic fandom as warning sign that a suitor was not worthy). And, as we all know, comic fans don't attend the theater...they don't sell comics there.Alas, this meant creator Peter Gillis had to switch mediums. Logically, the comic book seemed the obvious choice. But, alas, comic fans don't appreciate their beloved medium (nay, way of life) being ridiculed. Thus the content had to be changed. (i.e.-clever satire had to go!) . Thus begins the tale of this cosmic battle between the savior of the universe, Lord Cumulus and his mortal enemy (scourge of all that's right and good) Lord Chaos!! Little do they know they are actually brothers!! Gadzooks!
