From the second year's run of one of the most famous comics of all time. The book is in only fair condition, but pages are perfectly readable. In good condition, overstreet #39 lists the book at $83.00.

Please note condition below! At the listed price, this is still a bargain for a reading copy or filling a spot in the WWII era WDC&S run, which all continue to climb steadily in value.

All pages present, including center section, but the two innermost sheets are loose from staples and mostly split up the middle. Paper is turning brown, and there is lots of chipping at corners and on edges. Cover is hanging by a thread from book's staples along edge of back corner, how it has not turned loose completely is a mystery. Looks like probably insect or moisture damage along about 80% of spine, which is ragged and split with openings. Stains and spots on left half of front.
