MARVEL's biggest hit of Spring 1972, and the start of an enduring fan-favorite run, was TOMB OF DRACULA . Issue #6 arrived in January of 1973 with a cover pencilled & inked by Neal Adams, and 36 pages of Gene Colan's amazingly distinctive artistry! Written by Silver Age great, Gardner Fox, it follows the series outline developed by Roy Thomas . . . which was the perfect modern-day template for the revival of the classic horror story of ‘DRACULA'.

The story centers around FRANK DRAKE, a distant descendant of COUNT DRACULA, and heir to his castle in Transylvania. He travels there with his girlfriend JEANIE, only to find the castle in near ruins. The long-dead DRACULA, is accidentally revived and proceeds to terrorize FRANK & JEANIE in both human and bat forms, and ultimately killing JEANIE!

Here in issue #6, in "The Moorlands Monster!", DRACULA and LENORE return to 20th Century England , emerging from the Black Mirror that transported them through time, just as the vampire hunters, FRANK, RACHEL, and TAJ pursuing them close in. DRACULA's plans to kill RACHEL VAN HELSING are foiled when he pulls LENORE in front of him as a shield against one of FRANK's gun-fired stakes . . . and she perishes as DRACULA escapes.

They are advised that a nearby abandoned Castle would be a perfect hiding place for DRACULA, the 3 vampire-hunters converge on the crumbling ruins, only to find that DRACULA has set a trap for them! But they are saved by The Monster of the Moors, and survive to once more see DRACULA elude their grasp!

This is a well-preserved copy of TOMB of DRACULA #6 - with a strong binding, pages free of toning, and no tears, creases or pieces missing.
