THRILLER was a DC Comics series that ran for just 1 year, beginning in November 1983. The series was written by Robert Loren Fleming and drawn by Trevor Von Eeden. The tagline for the series was, "She has 7 seconds to save the world" - the "she" in question being protagonist ANGELINE THRILLER and the "7 seconds" being a team of 7 operatives who assisted her in various conflicts - supernatural, occult, and just plain old existential!

ANGELINE had the power to become one with any inanimate object, and thus control it. She could cause her face to appear on an object or even in the sky. The only living beings she could merge with were her twin brother Tony, and the artificially created Beaker Parish. ANGELINE could also see visions of possible future events.

Here in issue #1, in the story 'Seven Seconds', written by Robert Loren Fleming and illustrated in his distinctive style by Trevor Von Eeden, DAN GROVE - after filming his brother's brutal assassination by the terrorist SCABBARD - is reluctantly recruited into a group of adventurers named the SEVEN SECONDS by the ghostly presence of ANGELINE THRILLER.

Other members of the SEVEN SECONDS team were Beaker Parish, Cracker Jack, Data, Proxy, White Satin, and finally DAN GROVE. Some had superhuman abilities, some had supernatural talents. Together they made up THRILLER's cadre of agents, much like the SHADOW's or DOC SAVAGE's.

This is a great-looking copy from 42 years ago - there are no creases, tears, pieces missing, or abnormal toning. The binding is strong, the colors are bright . . it's amazingly tight and sturdy, with good cover gloss! We grade this an 8.0 VF . . . which the Overstreet Price Guide values at $4.00.
