Stan Lee and Jack Kirby's famous creation of The MIGHTY THOR first took place in 43 issues of JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY before the God of Thunder got his own title in THOR #126. Here is another Kirby-plotted masterwork--- his final art contribution to the THOR he created!

In "No More The Thunder God!", scripted by Stan Lee, penciled by Jack Kirby, and inked by Vince Colletta, LOKI - with the aid of the magician IGRON in his thrall - switches faces and clothing with THOR!BALDER and SIF are initially deceived and do battle with this transformed 'THOR'!THOR (now with LOKI's face) tries unconvincingly to explain what his evil brother has done, but when BALDER is injured and "LOKI" goes to his aid, they finally accept that the real THOR is being truthful!

You get the traditional fantastically powerful and exciting JACK KIRBY artwork throughout this book-length story - his very last THOR work!

This is a solid copy of this 54-year old comic, with normal toning but no foxing, a strong binding and good color! The back cover has a 2mm clipped corner. We're grading this a conservative 6.0 FN. The Overstreet Price Guide feels $18 is appropriate!!!
