Stan Lee and Jack Kirby's famous creation of The MIGHTY THOR first took place in 43 issues of JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY before the God of Thunder got his own title in THOR #126. Here are two issues of that long-running series in collectable 5.5 FN- condition!

In "The Dilemma of Dr. Blake! " , Karnilla releases Sif from her imprisonment inside the powerful Destroyer and the destructive being falls unconscious. Thor is then transported to the land of the Norns to battle Ulik the deadly Rock Troll. Odin goes to Midgard to retrieve the inert Destroyer. In the last of the ongoing INHUMANS back-up feature, "While the City Shrieks!", Triton tries to make contact with humanity, a move which proves disastrous. But he returns and tells Black Bolt the danger that humans pose to the world, causing Black Bolt to begin searching for a new hidden refuge.

Issue #153's "-- But Dr. Blake Can Die!" continues the story from last issue where Loki has stolen Thor's hammer and fled to Midgard. Thor and Sif pursue him, but without the hammer Thor changes into Dr. Don Blake as Loki attacks them. Loki escapes, but Sif is injured in the fight, and Dr. Blake must operate to save her life.

You get customarily terrific JACK KIRBY artwork throughout these 72 pages!

These are two nice and supple 54-year old comics, with normal toning but no foxing, a strong binding and good color! We're grading these a conservative composite 5.5 FN-. The Overstreet Guide feels $37 is appropriate for the pair - we feel $20, plus our L•O•W shipping charge, is even MORE appropriate!
