Stan Lee and Jack Kirby's famous creation of THOR first took place in 43 issues of JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY before the god of thunder got his own title in THOR #126. Here are two issues of that long-running series in collectable 4.0 VG condition!

In "This Battleground Earth!" in #144, Thor, Sif and Balder battle and defeat Magnir and Brona of the deadly Enchanters Three, while Odin faces the third member: Forsung. In the 'TALES of ASGARD' back-up feature, Volstagg saves the day with the Rod of Wizard Power he has found in, "The Beginning of the End!"

In issue #145, "Abandoned on Earth!", continued from the issue above, Odin defeats Forsung of the Enchanters Three and demands all Asgardians return to the Realm Eternal. Thor refuses to come home to Asgard and his powers are removed (except Asgardian Strength). Without his hammer or costume, Thor is hypnotized into joining the Circus of Crime by The Ringmaster!. In this issue's 'TALES OF ASGARD,' Alibar and Hogun defeat Mogul's spotted plague in "The End!"

Customarily terrific JACK KIRBY artwork throughout these 72 pages!

These are two really nice and supple 54-year old comics, with normal toning but no foxing, a few ragged page edges, and only minimal stress lines or edge wear. Both copies have date stamps on their front covers. That all leads us to grading these a very conservative composite 4.0 VG. The Overstreet Guide feels $28 is appropriate for the pair - we feel $12, plus our L•O•W shipping, is even MORE appropriate! ••• And there is no further postage charge if you buy more items, so load up on some of our other Silver Age Marvels, if that's your thing!
