Stan Lee and Jack Kirby's famous creation of THOR first took place in 43 issues of JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY before the god of thunder got his own title in THOR #126 in 1966. Before long Jack Kirby's wild imagination had taken the story of the Thunder God into cosmic realms far beyond the Nordic Sagas!

In "Behold - The Living Planet!" Kirby makes the character of an entire sentient planet believable . . and exciting! Accompanied by the Rigellian Recorder, THOR battles Ego from the inside, before eventually commanding his storms to subdue the Living Planet into conceding defeat and retracting his oath to overtake Earth. Meanwhile Jane Foster, back on planet Earth, deals with a predicament by herself in Europe.

In the 'TALES of ASGARD' back-up feature that appeared in over 20 consecutive issues, Harokin rides the Black Stallion of Doom to Valhalla., in "VALHALLA!".

This is a super-nice and supple 57-year old comic, with normal toning but no foxing, and only minimal stress lines or edge wear. We feel confident in grading this a 7.0 FN/VF for this issue. Overstreet says $67 is appropriate - we feel $41 plus L O W shipping is even more appropriate!
