Stan Lee and Jack Kirby's famous creation of THOR first took place in 43 issues of JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY before the god of thunder got his own title in THOR #126. Here is the second issue of that long-running series!

In "The Hammer and the Holocaust!" THOR, weakened and defeated from his battle with HERCULES, returns to Asgard where he finds Seidring has taken over, given new power by ODIN. THOR battles the 'odin power' in Seidring and defeats him, only to collapse himself! Kirby, inked by Vince Colletta, really lets loose with intense action and emotions in this one!

In the 'TALES of ASGARD' back-up feature that appeared in over 20 consecutive issues, Kirby and Colletta tell the tale of the Argonauts being called home to Asgard by Odin, in "The Meaning of RAGNAROK!".

This is a super-nice and supple 54-year old comic, with normal toning but no foxing, and only minimal stress lines or edge wear. We feel confident in grading this a 6.0 FN for this issue. Overstreet feels $30 is appropriate - we feel $15 plus L O W shipping is even more appropriate!
