The movie may have been a bust . . but these issues expanding the plot of 2011's GREEN LANTERN feature film are actually pretty good!

Here is the full 5-comic set of one-shot comics focusing on the five different main characters in the film: HAL JORDAN, Green Lantern of Space Sector 2814 and Earth's protector, ABIN SUR, who transferred his Power Ring to Jordan as he lay in the wreckage of his spaceship, KILOWOG, a no-nonsense ring bearer of the planet Bolovax Vik and Jordan's 'Drill Sergeant', TOMAR-RE, originally a scientist on his homeward and one of the greatest, longest-serving Lanterns, he is probably Jordan's best friend in the Corps, . . and finally, SINESTRO, the rogue Lantern who became Jordan's nemesis and greatest adversary.

But if you're a GL fan, you already know all that!

The movie was a big letdown, but don't let that prevent you from enjoying this quintet. There is great art throughout, by 5 different artists, and engaging stories, tangential to the film, by 4 different writers. (Two of them, 'HAL JORDAN' and 'SINESTRO', are written by the latter-day master of all things green and lanterny, Geoff Johns!)
