The ROCKETEER first appeared in 1982, originally published by Pacific Comics, and created by writer/artist Dave Stevens. It was a beautifully-drawn homage to the Saturday matinee serial heroes from the 1930s and 40s. In 199, Walt Disney Productions adapted Stevens' hero into a big budget theatrical feature, directed by Joe Johnston, and starring Bill Campbell and Jennifer Connelly.

Here is the 68-page adaptation of the film, wonderfully illustrated by the famed Russ Heath, who's art was actually an inspiration the late Dave Stevens, along with that of comic artist Russ Manning.
