Writer Roy Thomas comes up with another exciting adventure for the depleted AVENGERS team of HAWKEYE, BLACK PANTHER and VISION . . including guest appearances from DR. STRANGE, THE BLACK KNIGHT . . and two totally nasty elemental gods from Asgard!!

In "Some Say the World Will End in Fire... Some Say in Ice!!", Dr. STRANGE appears, wraithlike, at the Mansion and pleads for the three present AVENGERS to accompany him to help save the life of THE BLACK KNIGHT, who was wounded attempting to save the life of STRANGE!

They were battling demons in an effort to save the Earth (detailed in DR. STRANGE #178) from the ravages of two forces of nature from Asgard - YMIR, most powerful of the ICE GIANTS, who is decimating Wakanda in Africa, and SURTUR, the Fire Giant, who is destroying Antarctica!

The 3 AVENGERS split up and battle the Elementals of Nature in Africa and at the South Pole . . . and eventually save the Earth!

An exciting, globe-spanning adventure by Roy Thomas, and great art - as always - by John Buscema!

This is a great copy of this 55-year old comic, with a strong binding, supple pages, minimal toning and good color.
