After issue #38 of THE ATOM , the 'Tiny Titan' had his title changed to reflect his partnering with HAWKMAN - and that gave us the beginning of THE ATOM and HAWKMAN. Here is the second issue of their 6 Silver Age outings under that title.In odd-numbered issues the two JLA heroes teamed up for a book-length adventure, and in even-numbered issues they each starred in separate stories.

Inside the Joe Kubert cover, in the Gardner Fox story titled "The Explosive Exploits of the Split-Atom!", illustrated by Dick Dillin with the gorgeous inking of Sid Greene, the ATOM works with the FBI to capture a gang of spies that have developed a ray that can extract secrets from the brain.

Gardner Fox also penned the HAWKMAN story, "The Man with an Inbuilt Panic Button!". You get the wonderful art of Murphy Anderson inking Joe Kubert's pencils, as HAWKMAN meets Andrew Harris, who has the unconscious ability to teleport himself out of danger, as the HAWKs discover when Harris turns up on their spaceship!

This is a really nice copy of this 54-year old comic, with a strong binding, minimal toning, and good color. There are a few minor stress lines on the cover. We are conservatively grading this a 7.5 VF- . . . which Overstreet pegs at $26 . . . but we'd like you to have it for just $16 . . . with our always-L•O•W shipping of just $2!
