STEVE DITKO, the creator and main artist for SPIDER-MAN comics since 1962, handles pencils, inks and plotting here for AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #19, as the Wall-Crawler takes on several bad guys . . . to save a good guy!

In the lead story, "Spidey Strikes Back!", Sandman and the Enforcers capture the Human Torch. When Spider-Man questions a stool pigeon and learns of this he comes to the aid of Johnny Storm of the Fantastic Four.

This is a fairly decent copy of SPIDER-MAN #19, fairly ragged edges, a slight bit of spine roll, and ball-point pen writing on the first page. Those are the main detractors, but the binding is strong, there are no missing pieces and the pages have normal toning. Overstreet prices this issue in a grade of 3.5 VG- at $57 (largely due to the appearance of The Sandman) . . . but we think $48 is much more reasonable, and gives you this issue at the best price on HipComic --- because it's the ONLY copy on HipComic!!
