TERRORS OF THE JUNGLE was one of a handful of comic titles published by famed cover artist L.B. Cole when he founded STAR PUBLICATIONS in 1949. He had previously secured the rights to the characters published by NOVELTY PRESS, and began his own stint in operating a comic book firm just as horror and crime comics were taking hold of the industry.

Here in TERRORS OF THE JUNGLE #7, inside the 'Good Girl Art'/bondage cover by L.B. Cole, we find the very Tarzanesque character TORGA on a mission to save a noted scientist from being sacrificed to a giant Gorilla (shades of KING KONG!). In 'Bride of the Devil-Beast', illustrated by Jay Disbrow, he soon is appalled to find that his beautiful Jungle-friend Luann has been captured by the Wambogo tribe and has replaced the scientist as the sacrificial offering to the towering primate, Zong! But Torga manages to end the gorilla's reign, save Luann, and punished those involved in her near-demise!

This 36-page Pre-Code comic also includes two stories featuring the acclaimed artwork of famed 'Good Girl' artist Matt Baker! His 'Jungle Babe', RULAH, stars in 'Tyrant of the Jungle' and 'The Jungle Flames of Terror' in all her animal-print bikini glory!

This is a really handsome and clean copy of TERRORS OF THE JUNGLE #7, with all 36 pages bright and colorful and strongly bound. No pieces missing, no tears - the cover is even glassy! There is mild toning, as can be expected of any 70 year old comic!

We're very conservatively grading this copy at 5.0 VG/FN - you may even think it deserves something higher once you see it! Overstreet assigns a value of $152 . . . but we're offering it for just $120, a price you won't find elsewhere - even if you COULD find it! . . and it comes with FREE SHIPPING!
