Almost from the beginning, the TALES of ASGARD back-up feature provided closer glimpses of life and struggles in the Norse gods' home across the Rainbow Bridge: glorious ASGARD!In this 68 page first issue, TALES of ASGARD takes over the whole book, rather than being relegated to the final 5 pages of JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY and THOR. 10 stories reprinted from JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY #97 - #106, tell of THOR's adventures with Balder, Sif, his father Odin, and assorted Trolls and Demons! Many characters from THOR's stable of heroes and villains were first introduced in these 5-page tales, including Surtur, Hela, King Mirmir, Tyr, and King Brimer of the Frost Giants!
This is a particularly nice copy, with a strong, square binding, nice cover gloss, minimal toning, and no visible faults! We think this rates a 7.0 FN/VF and Overstreet pegs it at $24 in such condition. For you, we're pegging it at $18. That's only 37¢ per page of valiant deeds and rousing Jack Kirby artwork! And our L•O•W shipping is pretty heroic too!
