Here's a great-looking copy of SUPERBOY #140, from the Summer of 1967! Back when the SUPERMAN family of comics were edited by Mort Weisinger, and the stories were FUN!

Case in point: "The Wizard of Odds!", in which 'Lucky' Lucifer Chancel, a gangster and gambling maven, moves into Smallville and engineers big-time games of chance based on SUPERBOY's actions . . before deciding on a plan to destroy the Boy of Steel. A very young Jim Shooter wrote it, and Al Plastino drew it!

You also get "Beware the Mad Dog of Steel!", penned by Otto Binder and illustrated by George Papp, wherein KRYPTO contracts a case of Kryptonian Rabies!!

This is a terrific 56-year old Silver Age SUPERBOY -- no creases, tears, or abnormal toning. The binding is strong, the colors are bright. There is the tiniest bit of stress near the left edge of the cover. We - and the auctioneers who sold this copy - confidently grade this an 8.5 VF+. . . which Overstreet values at $64 . . . but we're pricing it at just $50 . . with our SUPER-LOW shipping!
