PRINCE NAMOR, THE SUB-MARINER was actually the 'grand daddy' of the whole MARVEL Comics line, being the first SuperAnti-hero published in the 1940s by what would later become Marvel Comics! It wasn't until the late 1960s that he was able to earn his own title once more, after making several guest appearances in comics like DAREDEVIL, FANTASTIC FOUR and TALES TO ASTONISH.

Here is SUB-MARINER #24, with "The Lady And The Tiger Shark!", as told by Master Ret-Con Genius Roy Thomas and dynamically illustrated by John Buscema!. In it, NAMOR is subdued by his long-time nemesis and Atlantean warlord, KRANG, who gloats over the defeated SUB-MARINER and then has his lackey ORKA dispatch his killer whales after LADY DORMA and her entourage. 

But TIGER SHARK comes to their rescue and Atlantis is forced to turn to him to repulse the attack by KRANG and his forces. NAMOR is freed in the initial onslaught of the battle and turns his attention to KRANG. TIGER SHARK and ORKA attack each other and their battle buries them both under ancient Atlantean ruins!

This is a great SUB-MARINER #24, with nicely glossy covers, a strong binding and no toning of its 54-year old pages! We conservatively grade this copy a 6.0 FN. The Overstreet Guide feels $9 is appropriate -- but we feel $7 plus our LOW shipping cost is even MORE appropriate! * •• And remember -- there is no further postage charge if you buy additional items!
