Here's the second issue of PRINCE NAMOR'S own title: SUB-MARINER #2 from early summer in the tumultuous year of 1968. I have such fond memories of poring over this issue on my lunch breaks from my summer lifeguarding job. Being near water all day really made NAMOR relatable for me!

As told by Master Ret-Con Genius Roy Thomas, this issue continues the story from #1, as Namor destroys Destiny's long-abandoned base and sets out to find him. Unfortunately, he crosses paths with the Plant Man who uses him as a pawn against the undersea-dwelling INHUMAN , TRITON. They battle it out long enough for Plant Man to capture both of them. John Buscema powerfully depicts the action of Namor's battles, with an inking assist from Frank Giacoia.

This is a terrifically-preserved copy of SUB-MARINER #2 with an unblemished cover, a strong binding and minimal toning of its 52-year old pages! All that eye-appeal leads us to grading this an 8.0 VF.
