Flat and tight with OFF WHITE pages and NO MARVEL CHIPPING this is the FIRST APPEARANCE AND ORIGIN of Nick Fury Agent of Shield.There is a subscription crease.The original predominant color of the front color is a very dark blue,almost black and that serves as a perfect backdrop to highlight stress lines and creases. Note that highlights include NO writing,NO tape,NO moisture staining,and overall a very nice appearance,with as previously said no marvel chipping..The spine is intact with NO SPLITS OR TEARS!! Staples are solidly in place with little peri staple wear.

Everything being equal books with a subscription crease are graded either VG 4.0;VG+ 4.5 ,or VG/F 5.0-its hard to predict,especially with the sliding scale used on Silver age which allows more defects per grade.We have chosen the more conservative grade. This book is considered a MAJOR KEY and has almost doubled in the last few years but is still affordable to many.

HOW WE GRADE: We scan front and back covers on a flatbed scanner to visualize every crease,fold,or tic.We ENLARGE and MAGNIFY the scan to see in detail every possible defect. We then assign a grade.For example for a 9.8 the spine can NOT have even 1 stress line (under magnification) or corner crease. We progress from there.

We have reviewed this under HIGH MAGNIFICATION.This is a flat,tight copy,unrestored that we feel is graded accurately.
