STRANGE ADVENTURES ran for 244 issues, from 1950 to 1973, and was DC Comics' first science fiction title. Some of the notable characters to emerge from the pages of this long-running title were Captain Comet, Star Hawkins, the Atomic Knights, and Animal Man.

Here in issue #6 from 1951 are five solidly entertaining Science Fiction stories, two text pieces, and several informational and trivia pages. Writer Manly Wade Wellman and artist Curt Swan lead off with the 10-page story, "The Confessions of a Martian!", wherein a Martian spy infiltrates an earth-based project to build a space ship for a trip to Mars!

One of DC's greatest Silver Age writers, Gardner Fox, teams up with artist John Lehti to give us "The Last Man and Woman!", the tale of a scientist who invents a method of suspended animation that results in him and his wife re-starting the human race on a distant world in the far, far future.

And, as seen on the cover, "The Vampire World", from Mann Rubin and artist Cresto, gives us the chilling tale of astronomer Ned Harris discovering a tentacled planetoid that soon attacks Earth!

This copy of STRANGE ADVENTURES #6 is in nice condition, EXCEPT FOR THE DETACHED COVER! No pieces missing or ragged edges - just a somewhat wrinkled cover near the spine with attendant stress lines.
