Item ~ Spider-Man Unlimited #5
"Estranged Tales"
Guest-starring the Human Torch.
Script by Tom DeFalco. Pencils by Ron Lim. Inks by Jim Sanders III. Cover by Ron Lim and Jim Sanders III. Both the Human Torch and the Amazing Spider-Man are going through rough times in their personal lives. And times like these are when super-villains like to strike! In keeping with that theory, Reynard Slinker aka Fox (last seen way, way back in Strange Tales Annual 2) plots his revenge against the two heroes that put him in prison many years ago! After meeting atop the Statue of Liberty, the torch and the wall-crawler bust into Reynard's hideout! Could this criminal caper be just the catharsis Johnny and the web-slinger need? Cameo appearances by Lyja and the "egg." Second Story: "Look Who's Back!" Script by Kurt Busiek. Art by Jan Duursema. The web-slinger tracks down stolen nuclear triggers from Empire State University! But along the way the spectacular one gets help from an undesired source…the Bobster! Cameo appearance by Roger Hochberg. (Note: The Bobster previously appeared in Web of Spider-Man 83 going by the name Hypertron.) Third Story: "Steel Spider Street Justice" Script by Eric Fein. Pencils by Mark Tenney. Inks by Keith Williams. After his girlfriend is shot, Ollie Osnick becomes the Steel Spider! First appearance of the Steel Spider. (Notes: Ollie previously appeared in Amazing Spider-Man 263 and 266. This issue is printed on glossy paper.) 64 pages

About Me:
I've been collecting comics for over fifty years. My very first comic was World's Finest #205 (1971 - Neal Adams cover) I was amazed! Then, I purchased Special Marvel Edition #2 (1971 Thor vs The Absorbing Man) My amazement turned to complete & total AWE! The primary colors! The dynamic poses! That unmistakable Marvel Style! It just leaped off the cover! There stood Thor with that mighty hammer & his golden hair & the thick red cape facing the viewer! It was just...WOW!!! I had never seen anything like it! (as a 5 year old :) I was a total goner! To say that I've been uncontrollably hooked on the hobby ever since would be putting it mildly. I truly LOVE what I do, and if given the opportunity, I would love to assist you with your collecting!
Excelsior!
Thanks for viewing.
