SPECIAL MARVEL EDITION was primarily a reprint series that ran for 16 issues in the years 1971 - 1974. The three series it reprinted were THOR, SGT FURY, and MASTER OF KUNG FU.

Here in issue #5 - with its new cover by John Severin - you get "Midnight on Massacre Mountain!", a World War II tale crafted by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. It originally appeared in SGT. FURY and his Howling Commandoes #3 in Sept. 1963. It tells of Fury and his rag tag Commandos being ordered to Italy where an army division is bottled up behind Massacre Mountain. Their mission is to rescue them and get back to England!

This is a nice copy of a 50-year old SPECIAL MARVEL EDITION, with a strong binding, supple pages, glossy covers and no apparent defects or blemishes. There are no ragged edges. There does appear to be a small handwritten notation on the front cover. We're grading it at a 8.0 VF , and we're going to beat Overstreet's valuation of $9 and offer it to you for just $3.00, making it the least expensive copy on HipComic! And paired with our always-L•O•W shipping, it absolutely can't be beat!!
