SPECIAL MARVEL EDITION was primarily a reprint series that ran for 16 issues in the years 1971 - 1974. The three series it reprinted were THOR (in the first 4 issues), SGT FURY (issues 5 - 14), and MASTER OF KUNG FU.

Here in issue #11 - with its new cover by Jack Kirby - you get "Fighting Side-By-Side with Captain America and Bucky!", a World War II tale crafted by Stan Lee and Kirby. It originally appeared in 'SGT. FURY and his Howling Commandos' #13 in Dec.1964 and tells of the first meeting between WWII legends Fury and Cap! The fast-paced and rip-roaring story of the two heroes (along with the Howling Commandos, and Bucky!) stopping a secret Nazi operation to hand dig a secret tunnel from France to England under the English Channel!

This is a really nice copy of a 49-year old SPECIAL MARVEL EDITION, with a strong binding, supple pages, glossy covers and no apparent defects or blemishes. There are no ragged edges. There does appear to be small evidence of a modest spine roll. We're grading it at a 7.0 FN/VF, and we're going to beat Overstreet's valuation of $7.50 and offer it to you for just $5.00, making it the least expensive - and ONLY! - copy here on HipComic!
