The combined the talents of Stan Lee, John Buscema and Sal Buscema resulted in a gem of an issue - the last of the square bound 25¢ issues - in this 68-page SILVER SURFER #7!

In "The Heir of Frankenstein!", the SILVER SURFER rescues Ludwig von Frankenstein from an angry village mob. Frankenstein tricks the SURFER into entering his experimental machine so that he can clone him and his powers. He creates a FRANKENSTEIN SURFER who attacks the SILVER SURFER and the nearby villagers. The SURFER confronts his dangerous double and leads him into space and reabsorbs his powers back into himself, causing the clone to vanish.

There is also a WATCHER story, "I, Gargoyle!", by Stan Lee, Howard Purcell and Dan Adkins, in which a kind but ugly, and hence lonely, man pilots a digging machine on a one-way journey to the Earth's core where he discovers a civilization who "see with their hearts" and not their eyes in the dim light. They offer him acceptance and love and he believes he's found heaven.

This is a great-looking copy of this 52-year old comic, with a strong and nicely squared binding, supple pages, and minimal toning. No tears, abrasions, or ragged edged pages, save for a bit of ragged area at of the bottom the front cover. It all adds up to a very conservative grade of 7.0 Fn/VF.
