In the midst of battling each other, the Surfer saves a young woman who gets caught in the crossfire, energizing him to defeat the invaders. This issue has the first mention of "the power cosmic", a hallmark of the Silver Surfer!

In the customary back-up feature. 'Tales of the Watcher', we're treated to a new interpretation of a years-old Stan Lee sci-fi story, "The Coming of the Krills!", re-interpreted by Gene Colan. A couple of lonely radar men make a pact with an alien race to let them inside earth's boundaries in exchange for . . . a surprise ending worthy of The Twilight Zone.

This is a very clean and nice copy of SILVER SURFER #2, a 68-page masterpiece with a nice square spine. The 53-year-old newsprint has toned minimally. Colors are bright, and there is a modest sheen to the cover. No creases, tears, or pieces missing. No bent or rounded corners - just a bit of wear on the covers. This is a solid 7.5 VF-, and Overstreet puts a value of $110 on it. How does the Benny's Comics Corner price tag of $85 sound?? Pretty good? And we'll give you FREE SHIPPING!!
