Bill Hanna and Joe Barbera, creators and directors of the long-running TOM and JERRY series of animated cartoons, needed something to do when MGM closed down their animation unit. They created RUFF AND REDDY as one of the very first TV animated shows, and debuted it in December of 1957.

It ran for 3 years, until the Spring of 1960. This just the 4th issue of their self-titled run, after 3 issues under the Dell Four Color banner.

All 36 pages here feature the outstanding and appealing artwork of Harvey Eisenberg, who had been Hanna and Barbera's head of layout on the Tom and Jerry cartoons.

We grade this slightly lower than it would be otherwise, due to a tiny date stamp on the front cover! Overstreet suggest a price tag of $16 on a 5.5 FN- . . . we hate to quibble but we'll put a $9 tag on this one! And don't forget our customary L•O•W shipping!
