From the pages of 2000 AD!!! Sam Slade- Robo hunter, his Robot detector and talking cigar travel to an all robot planet to hunt down fugitive droids!!! Thsi is a hysterical series packed with sight gags, slapstick, verbal wordplay and action, action,action! A wild riode of a comic, not to be missed!! ; all books FINE or better, mostly uncirculated VF-NM"A light-hearted hard-boiled Private Eye strip transported into a future setting where robots have become part of the culture and the landscape. Sam Slade is asked o investigate the disappearance of he human colonists on the planet Verdus, and has to discover how Verdus became a world of deranged robots. The strip is all wild action and manic humour, where everything in sight is robotic and has an attitude, from the boots worn, to the chairs and the cigars 'smoked.' Written by John Wagner, the strip first appeared in the UK's 2000AD and features art by Ian Gibson. Those who like the concept should note Slade returns in the Quality series Sam Slade. 1-4 also reprint 'Harlem Heroes' by Tom Tully and Dave Gibbons, a sports strip derived from the film Rollerball but with jet-packs replacing the rollerskates." --The 2003 Slings & Arrows Comic Guide
