From Deerfield Publishing in Chicago, IL, in the Fall of 1948 -- here's "Red" Rabbit #7, from about the middle of this title's 18-issue, 3-year run.

"Red" is an earnest cowboy rabbit, a bit less competent than he believes. His side-kick is Punchy, the dim but loyal pal. The lead story with "Red" is untitled, but features the great early artistry of Harvey Eisenberg, from before he went on to fame with Tom and Jerry, Huckleberry Hound and others, both on screen and in comic books!

Other stories in this issue star 'Officer Mutt', 'Cubby Scouts', and 'King Leo the Lion' - all with the recognizably dynamic and appealing artistry of Harvey Eisenberg!

This is a nicely solid 75-year-old comic, with a strong binding and supple pages.There is fading. a small nick, a piece missing, and a tiny bit of unobtrusive pencil writing on the cover, but otherwise this copy is pretty nice, with no tears or creases, and good color. Overall in nicely clean condition - we grade it conservatively at 5.0 VG/FN . . . which Overstreet values at $25 . . but we're offering it at just $12 so you Eisenberg fans can affordably enjoy this less often-seen issue (it's the only one available here on HipComic!).
