REAL SCREEN COMICS was the predecessor to 'The Fox and the Crow' getting their own comic. It ran for 128 issues from the Spring of 1945 to May 1959. The Fox and the Crow were the headliners, supported by Tito and His Burrito, as well as Flippity and Flop, the cat and canary chase comedy.

This 36-page issue, #64 from July of 1953, contains 2 'Fox and the Crow' stories (one of which shows Fauntleroy Fox looking through past issues of REAL SCREEN COMICS!!) all attributed to JIM DAVIS who was the master Fox & Crow artist for over 20 years, a 'Tito and His Burrito' story, 2 text page stories, several activity pages, and a 'Flippity and Flop' adventure with lively BOB WICKERSHAM art! And laughs too many to count!

(This issue sports a cover uncharacteristically drawn by Wickersham, rather then the customary art by Davis)

This copy is tight and well-cared-for over its 69 years, without any creases or tears, and no foxing. The pages are supple and the colors are bright = leading to a pretty conservative 6.0 FN. This condition - for this issue - lists for $30 in Overstreet! We think $14 is more like it, making this the most affordable - and only - REAL SCREEN #64 on HipComic!
