REAL SCREEN COMICS was the predecessor to 'The Fox and the Crow' getting their own comic. It ran for 128 issues from the Spring of 1945 to May 1959. The Fox and the Crow were the headliners, supported by Tito and His Burrito, as well as Flippity and Flop, the cat and canary chase comedy - all of whom had been animated at one time or another for the 'REAL SCREEN'.

This 52-page issue, #5 from April of 1946, contains 6 'Fox and Crow' stories, two 'Tito and His Burrito' stories, 2 text pages, a 'Polar Playmates' and a 'Flippity and Flop' adventure with beautiful Gil Turner art! Plus half a dozen house ads and cartoon advertisements! And chuckles too many to count!

Though somehow miscut at a slight angle, this copy is tight and well-cared-for without any creases or tears, and no foxing = a pretty conservative 5.0 VG/FN, which takes into account the small pencil notation near the top of the front cover. This condition - for this issue - lists for $80 in Overstreet! We think $30 is more like it, coupled with our L•O•W shipping fees!
