the Origin
'Frank Castle and his family were enjoying a sunny afternoon in the park. Little could they know, as they chased that errant kite, that it would lead them onto the scene of a mob assassination. The mobsters turned their guns on their unwelcome observers and slaughtered Castle’s family. Although Frank Castle survived, the man he was died that day; he was reborn as the Punisher.

First appearing in Amazing Spider-Man #129, the Punisher is a grim slayer of criminals. Formerly a Marine, Castle uses his tactical and fighting skills, along with a wide assortment of weaponry, to bring his war on crime to the criminals themselves.' - COMICBASE ATLAS ARCHIVE EDITION
