PREACHER tells the story of JESSE CUSTER, a 'Man of the Cloth' in a small Texas town who becomes merged with GENESIS, a creature both good and evil that had escaped from Heaven. CUSTER, through GENESIS, developed the ability to make anyone do anything he says. The PREACHER series ran from 1995 to 2000, comprising 75 issues, and also features his ex-girlfriend, TULIP O'HARE, and an Irish vampire named CASSIDY.

The three embarked on a journey to find GOD, in the series created by writer garth Ennis and artist Steve Dillon. During the course of their journeys, the three encounter enemies and obstacles both sacred and profane, including THE ANGEL OF DEATH; a disfigured rock-star named ARSEFACE; a serial-killer called the 'REAVER-CLEAVER'; and other somewhat unsavory characters in this violent and dark saga.

This 256-page trade paperback, the second of 9 TPBs that collect the entire PREACHER series, offers up issues #8 through #17, with an introduction by filmmaker Kevin Smith.

This copy - a FIRST PRINTING of an edition that went into 10 reprintings - is in pretty good condition for its age of 27 years - the covers are mirror-smooth and the color is intense throughout. The spine is still perfectly squared. There seems to be a minor ripple effect to a good portion of the page tops. The Overstreet Price Guide values an 6.0 FN copy at $13 . . but we're pricing our copy at $10 - with our always-LOW shipping!
