NOT BRAND ECHH was a satiric comic book series published by Marvel Comics that parodied its own superhero stories as well as those of other comics publishers. Running for 13 issues ( Aug. 1967 to May 1969), it included among its contributors such notable writers and artists as Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Don Heck, Tom Sutton, John and Marie Severin, and Roy Thomas - all having a blast in issues #4 and #5 making a gigantic joke out of the Marvel menagerie!

Spoofed in #4 is 'SCAREDEVIL' up against 'THE EVIL ELECTRICO' in the lead story! You also get THE SUNK MARINER in "Kayoed by KRANK!" , and the ECHHS-MEN in "If Magneat-O Should Clobber Us...". Sheesh!

The laughs continue in issue #5 with origin stories for "The Origin of... Forbush-Man the Way-Out Wonder!" (featuring wild artwork by Jack Kirby!), CHARLIE AMERICAN vs. THE REVENGERS, and " The Ever-Lovin THUNG vs. The Incredible BULK!" Stan Lee, Roy Thomas, Marie Severin and others are just having too much fun!

These are two good-looking 56-year old comics with strong bindings, supple pages, good color and no toning! The covers have some minot stress lines, but there are no ragged page edges. • There are faint date stamps on both covers • We conservatively grade these an aggregate 6.0 FN . Overstreet says $24 for the two issues at this grade . . . but we're pricing them at just $13, so you can get maximum laughs at a minimum price!
