In the 1960s, CHARLTON COMICS' page rates were somewhat below the industry standard, and to placate its creative teams, the publisher allowed writer-artists free rein to develop their own characters without much interference. This was the birthright of STEVE DTKO'S THE QUESTION!

DITKO's hero was a TV news investigative reporter named Vic Sage, and his exploits appeared as back-up stories in Charlton's short-lived BLUE BEETLE title. Vic Sage was given access to 'Pseudoderm' - a skin like substance that could cover his face and hide his identity as he went undercover to expose the bad guys!

This one-shot issue of MYSTERIOUS SUSPENSE contains a three-part QUESTION story which Ditko had already penciled, and the tales were connected and inked for this special issue.

This is a pretty sharp-looking 53-year old - uncommon - Silver Age comic -- no creases, tears, pieces missing, or abnormal toning. The binding is strong, and the colors are bright. We grade this a conservative 7.5 VF- . . . which Overstreet values at $36 . . . but we're pricing it at only $24 . . with our always-L•O•W shipping!
