Based on two shorts in the Tom and Jerry series of theatrical cartoons, MGM's MOUSE MUSKETEERS follows the exploits and conflicts between M'ssieur Poosycat Tom and the two tiny swordsmen Jerry and Tuffy in a medieval France setting. There are castles, knights, a fussy King . . and an occasional dragon! 7 issues of this premise appeared under the Dell Four Color banner, before becoming a series of their own - MOUSE MUSKETEERS starting with these two issues: #8 and #9 (continuing the number of issues published under the Four Color banner)

All the artwork herein - 72 pages of beautiful and lively cartooning - are Harvey Eisenberg's brilliant handiwork. He was the same cartoonist who was chief of the Layout Dept. on the Tom and Jerry animated cartoons!

Two nice 63-year old copies, marred only by a bit of cover discoloration, cover looseness and some tears on the edges of #8 and an inscription on #9's cover -- that leads to our judgement of a 4.0 VG rather than something higher (issue #9 is in better shape than #8). Overstreet says $16 for the pair . . but you can grab them both from us for $8! Couple it with our always L•O•W shipping prices and you'll say "Sacré Bleu!"
