Marvels project (series began 2009) issue #2 parel comics in fine condition. Published by marvel.

Fine - an exceptional, above-average copy that shows minor wear but is still relatively flat and clean with slight creasing or minor defects. Eye appeal is somewhat reduced because of slight surface wear and possibly a very small defect such as a few very slight cross stress marks on spine. A fine condition comic book appears to have been read a few times and has been handled with moderate care. Compared to a very fine, cover inks are beginning to show a significant reduction in reflectivity but is still a highly collectible and desirable book.

Death of the Phantom Bullet. Written by Ed Brubaker and drawn by Steve Epting. The year 1939 found America on the edge and worried. While still reeling from a decade of economic Depression, the United States faced the growing threat that it would have to become involved in wars in Europe and Asia. And on the home-front, common folk were falling prey to an increasingly emboldened criminal element operating in the absence of a workable justice system. The conditions were ripe for the emergence of a new type of hero; one that wore a mask or wielded incredible powers beyond the mortal ken.

Enter the Human Torch, an accident created by super-science who is viewed by most as a menace even though he sees himself as a hero. At a remote farmhouse, the fiery android gets his opportunity to let his actions speak for him when he interrupts a gangland hit. Meanwhile, the Angel prowls the rooftops of New York City and finds there's plenty of crime in the streets that needs the firm hand of justice. And in war-torn Europe, Nick Fury rescues the man who will soon be responsible for the creation of Captain America!
