If you liked The THING, you probably loved MARVEL TWO-IN-ONE, where Ben Grimm was teamed up in stories with a pantheon of other Marvel superheroes during its 100-issue run from 1974 to 1983. Here are the Thing's second team-up with THOR (but first two-parter) in issues 22 and 23.

The two part story starts with the Human Torch and the Thing bringing a near-death Blacksun to Dr. Donald Blake for help, but Thing gets caught up in a godly conflict between the mighty Thor and the Egyptian god of death, Seth. Thing tries to assist Thor in his interdimensional battle with Seth, but the battle spins out of control when the godling unleashes the rampaging Devourer that even Seth finds impossible to control.

Bill Mantlo and Jim Shooter supplied the script and Ron Wilson with Pablo Marcos provide the powerful images.
