__MARVEL TWO-IN-ONE__ was an anthology series featuring FANTASTIC FOUR member THE THING in a different team-up in each issue. The concept was given a test run in Marvel Feature #11-12 and proved a success. MARVEL TWO-IN-ONE lasted for 100 issues from January 1974 through June 1983. Seven Annualswere also published.

Here are the first two issues of the title, pairing THE THING with, first, THE MAN-THING, and then with THE SUBMARINER, both with great artwork by the legendary Gil Kane! And both written by Steve Gerber (who had an acclaimed 39-issue run on MAN-THING's own comic!).

In 'Vengeance of the Molecule Man!', THE THING decides to head to Florida and take on the MAN-THING for appropriating his name! In an alternate dimension, the Molecule Man has duplicated himself and his "son" decides to take vengeance on the FANTASTIC FOUR. Instead of arriving in New York, Molecule Man finds himself in the Florida Swamp where THING and MAN-THING are able to separate the villain from his power staff and reduce him to dust.

Issue #2 (the last 20¢ issue of the title) offers 'Manhunters From The Stars!', wherein of the child-like alien, Wundarr, falls into the ocean near Namorita but flees when NAMOR arrives and menaces him. Then in New York, Wundarr battles THE THING until NAMOR and his cousin show up and explain to BEN GRIMM that the alien has the mind of a child and means no harm. THE THING and the Atlanteans then have to save Wundarr from his alien people who have sent a giant robot to kill him. With the robots driven off, NAMOR and 'Nita leave Wundarr in the tender loving care of a very unhappy THING!

These are solid 48-year old copies with a strong bindings, supple pages and good color - and no toning. These can easily be graded at 8.0 VF . . for which Overstreet suggests a combined price of $66. But we say just $44 . . and combined with our L•O•W shipping, it's a heck of a deal!!
