MARVEL TEAM-UP was a smart publishing move, and featured two or more Marvel characters in one story. The series was originally published from March 1972 through February 1985, and featured SPIDER-MAN as the lead "team-up" character in all but ten of its 150 issues

In "Live From New York it's SATURDAY NIGHT!", written by Chris Claremont, and illustrated by Penciller Bob Hall, with inking of the great castmember likenesses (and Stan Lee!) by Marie Severin, we find Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson arriving late for an early taping of SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE!

In trying to save the cast when Peter's SPIDEY-SENSE tingles, SPIDER-MAN interacts with the entire cast of the time, including JOHN BELUSHI who has mistakenly received priceless ring that the SILVER SAMURAI and his minions are trying to retrieve from him. He 'bravely' battles in character as his Samurai Dry Cleaner character until SPIDER-MAN can save the day!!

Sales of this issue made it the most popular TEAM-UP issue of all of 1978!
