The MARVEL TEAM-UP series debuted in March of 1972 and featured two or more Marvel characters in one story. Through February 1985, and 150 issues, it featured SPIDER-MAN as the lead "team up" character in all but ten issues, and in six of its seven Annuals. Here is issue #6, from early in 1973, with a script by Gerry Conway, and great artwork by Gil Kane!

In ". . As Those Who Will Not See!", the PUPPET MASTER admits to SPIDER-MAN and THE THING that he caused the accident that blinded his stepdaughter Alicia Masters (THING's girlfriend). This accident was also the source of the PUPPET MASTER's ability to create and control puppets from radioactive clay. Hoping to cure Alicia, they all head for the old hidden lab, but the PUPPET MASTER has already turned the lab over to the MAD THINKER, and the heroes are trapped. The lab is eventually destroyed in an explosion, the villains assumed dead.

Solid storytelling by Gerry Conway, and tremendous artwork by Gil Kane, as usual!

This is a great-looking 51-year old copy of MARVEL TEAM-UP #6 with a strong binding, supple pages and good color - and no toning. There is the tiniest of chips out of the upper corner of the front cover. We're calling this an 8.0 VF . . for which Overstreet suggests a price of $22. But we say just $15 . . and combined with our L•O•W shipping, it's a heck of a deal!!
