After losing his ranch and stock to a drought, Tip Woodring comes to the cow town of Hagen, where he is hired to find out which of two feuding clans killed a prospector for his gold strike. Story concludes on inside back cover in black and white. The last panel is Dell's "A Pledge to Parents." Adapted from the 1939 novel "Bounty Gun" by Luke Short. Pencils and inks credits for this sequence from Alberto Becattini
