DARKSEID plots to destroy the entire concept of super-heroes on Earth in this all-out DC crossover miniseries, engineered by John Ostrander, Len Wein and John Byrne.  Each issue had multiple tie-ins to ongoing storylines in DC titles, and also served as the springboard for 4 new titles - New Justice League, Suicide Squad, FLASH (1987 reboot) and Shazam! The New Beginning.

The six issues of this LEGENDS mini-series can be read as an abbreviated story by themselves, or all 22 chapters can be read as a longer story that included the LEGENDS issues as well as issues if other titles including __Batman, Superman, and Secret Origins__. It was also the first major DC Universe crossover after the events of __Crisis on Infinite Earths__.  Quite a feat of scheduling and working in tandem with the writers of other books! -- There's even a 2-page text explanation of exactly how that was achieved!

You get John Byrne's dynamic portrayals of over 50 DC characters (by my count) . . plus President Ronald Reagan!  216 pages in all!
