America didn't quite take to the misadventures of tough 22nd Century cop JUDGE DREDD quite the way that the UK did -- here is the first issue of the American edition of JUDGE DREDD: THE MEGAZINE, which only lasted three issues stateside, while over 427 issues have been published in England!

This first US version of the square-bound, thick card stock covers, 52-page 'magazine' collects a few of the better stories from its British copublication, which had been on UK newsstands about 8 months earlier. You get 6 stories of varying length, with hard-as-nails titles like "Midnite's Children" and "Young Death: Boyhood of a Superfiend" with artwork to match, by JUDGE DREDD regulars like Jim Baikie, Cam Kennedy, and John McCrea. Plus, there are mini-articles, blurbs and ads, as there would be in a 'real' magazine.
