In the 13-page lead story, "The Thunder God and The Thug!", Donald Blake has to protect his secret identity from prying eyes, lay down his hammer to protect Jane Foster, call telepathically on his father, ODIN, for Divine Intervention, and collar a mob thug and his goons -- all after lunch!

Jack Kirby draws all the action with customary power and finesse, and devotes a page to a recap of how THOR became a presence on Earth!

•• There are also two short stories - one drawn by Steve Ditko! - and a text piece.

This copy holds together well, but cover- and page-edges are a bit ragged, their is typical toning for a 57-year old comic, a one-word written inscription on the title page, a half-inch-diameter chunk out of the lower right corner of the back cover . . . and almost unnoticeably, someone has carefully and neatly traced the figure of THOR on the cover! These all contribute to a conservative grading of 3.0 ( you may judge it higher), for which Overstreet suggests a price of $123.00! We're going to make this early key issue affordable for THORists at $85 . . with FREE SHIPPING!
