Here's the scion of Asgard, the MIGHTY THOR, nearing the end of his appearances in the science fiction/fantasy anthology comic, JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY, and with the advent of his self-titled series THE MIGHTY THOR less than a year away!

These three 59-year old comics have obviously been well-read over the decades, but the excitement and energy of JACK KIRBY's dynamic art still come through, even on these less-than-pristine pages! Along with appearances by his girlfriend, Jane Foster, his father, ODIN, evil brother LOKI, the X-MEN and DOCTOR STRANGE, you get a mini-rogues'-gallery of villains THE GREY GARGOYLE, COBRA and MISTER HYDE!

#107 offers up "When the Grey Gargoyle Strikes!" that tells of how a scientist gains the power to turn himself into living stone, and to turn others into stone statues, then comes to New York to attack THOR, hoping to gain the secret of immortality!

#109 presents "When Magneto Strikes!", in which MAGNETO is testing his powers in the cityand soon comes up against THOR. They battle aboard MAGNETO's submarine until MAGNETO flees in his escape vessel.

And in #110 you get "Every Hand Against Him!", wherein LOKI sends the COBRA and MISTER HYDE to kidnap Jane. THOR confronts them but is forced to back down and let them go after they threaten to hurt her.

Three great lead stories by STAN LEE, with KIRBY adding a 5-page 'Tales of Asgard' featurette in each issue!

These 59-year old copies of JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY are in barely good condition - ragged edges, a detached page in #110, a detached-and-taped cover on #109, handwriting on the splash pages, general toning and an overall 'worn' appearance. These are for those who just want to soak up KIRBY's wonderful illustrations!

We'll call this trio an aggregate 2.0 GD. Overstreet values this trio at this grade at $102! (mainly due to early crossovers with other Marvel heroes and prominent villains) -- we however are going to make these three copies a bargain for THORists at just $37. . with our tremendously LOW shipping charge!
